SIRENIA^® SOFTWARE

Sirenia^® software provides powerful tools for preclinical research. Our FREE Sirenia^® platform includes acquisition and basic analysis software, and users can easily add PREMIUM MODULES at any time. All of the software modules are described below.

FREE ACQUISITION SOFTWARE

Sirenia^® Acquisition provides a single platform for any Pinnacle hardware system. The software features synchronization of all data streams, user-configurable settings, data consolidation, and multiple export options. In addition, the software includes basic review and analysis modules for biosensor, sleep, and seizure recordings. Sirenia^® delivers FREE all-in-one software that is ideal for data acquisition and review.

PREMIUM SOFTWARE MODULES

SIRENIA^® SEIZURE PRO

Sirenia^® Seizure Pro provides a platform for quickly identifying and analyzing user-defined seizure events over a given time period. Seizure statistics, such as average duration, amplitude, time between seizures, and peak frequency, are automatically generated. Other classification information can be easily added to logged events.

SIRENIA^® SLEEP PRO

Sirenia^® Sleep Pro reduces scoring time by automating the process with tools such as cluster and threshold scoring, hypnograms, and spectral analysis. Analysis features allow you to quickly compare results of scoring sessions, generate sleep bout analysis, and automatically calculate the peak frequency of each scored stage.

SIRENIA^® SYNCHRONIZED VIDEO

Automatically synchronize recorded video with EEG/EMG waveforms and biosensor activity to provide an accurate visual representation of animal activity and behavior. Please note that Pinnacle’s synchronized video system is required to operate this software module.

SIRENIA^® FEEDBACK PRO

Sirenia Feedback Pro software enables users to create rule sets based on baseline data, thresholds, and power analysis in a variety of sleep, seizure, optogenetics and behavioral studies. When combined with Pinnacle�s sleep deprivation hardware, users can incorporate real-time EEG/EMG feedback or yoked control functionality into experiments.

SIRENIA^® X-Y TRACKING

SIRENIA^® X-Y TRACKING accurately detects and analyzes animal movement within a cage. Track locomotor behavior in real time or in previously recorded video data. Our software is compatible with tethered and wireless animals.

Mac Note: We do not support Apple computers. Our hardware and software testing is performed on PCs with Windows 10. To run our analysis software (Sleep, Seizure, XY) on an Apple computer, install a program that can run Windows applications. These include programs such as bootcamp or parallels. You will also need to obtain a Windows OS. We do not recommend using Macs to record experiments in Sirena Acquisition. However, a Mac can be used to view data, video, and to access our XY tracking analysis program. When using Macs, you may get an error that says "mscvr100.dll is not installed". That error can occur if the Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Service Pack 1 Redistributable Package MFC Security Update is not installed. If this happens to you, click this link to install the package.
