The STAND ALONE SYSTEM provides calendar-based functionality for programming the bar to rotate at discrete intervals. Programming options range from a second-by-second basis to hourly, daily, weekly, or monthly intervals. Use the LCD controls on the device to operate the system without a computer connection. The system is compatible with most EEG/EMG hardware and physiological measurement systems.
The Stand Alone system can be controlled by a computer or by the programmable interface on the front panel of the device.
The bar rotates at speeds between five and fifteen RPM and can be programmed to change directions to reduce acclimatization to the sleep deprivation environment.
System accommodates water, food, and bedding. A variety of cage sizes are availble for mice and rats.

Pinnacle's stand alone sleep deprivation kits include the sleep deprivation unit, and a cage with water bottle. The system can be retrofitted for the automatic feedback feature.

Upgrade to a FEEDBACK SYSTEM to incorporate real-time EEG/EMG feedback into your sleep deprivation studies. Pinnacle offers three- and four-channel systems for biopotential recording. Tethered solutions are available for both mice and rats.
Synchronized video recording can be added to any new or existing Pinnacle system, providing a platform for correlating changes in brain chemistry with behavioral states. Captured video can be displayed live on screen during acquisition, and, in playback mode, video is synchronized with recorded data.
PINNACLE'S SIRENIA® SLEEP PRO software allows users to reduce scoring and analysis time by automating the process with tools such as cluster scoring, threshold scoring, hypnograms, and spectral plots. The software’s analysis features allow users to quickly compare scores, perform bout and sleep analyses, and customize high-quality charts and graphs.
