WIRELESS FSCV SYSTEM FOR RATS

The WIRELESS FAST SCAN CYCLIC VOLTAMMETRY (FSCV) SYSTEM for rats uses 2.4 GHz wireless to transmit data. The system resides in a head-mounted enclosure and wirelessly transmits data to a computer. The battery is easily accessible and can be replaced during recording sessions. The system is ideal for mazes and enclosed environments, such as metabolic and behavioral chambers. It comes with Pinnacle's FREE FSCV software.

The Rat Hat houses the battery and protects the system.

A low-power, wireless FSCV board transmits digitized signals to a paired 2.4 GHz wireless USB dongle.

The Rat Hat bottom contains the electronics, guide cannula, and carbon fiber sensor. It is affixed to the skull with bone screws and dental acrylic.

Stereotaxically placed guide cannulas allow easy insertion of carbon fiber sensors.

Supporting Products

Synchronized Video

Synchronized video recording can be added to any new or existing Pinnacle system, providing a platform for correlating changes in brain chemistry with behavioral states. Captured video can be displayed live on screen during acquisition, and, in playback mode, video is synchronized with recorded data.

HOUSING

Pinnacle offers CIRCULAR CAGES and CAGE ACCESSORIES designed for wireless, tethered, and non-surgized rodents to move about freely. Multiple cage sizes are available.
