IDTRH Manager Setup ------------------- Minumum System Requirements: Windows 95/98/ME/NT/2000 800x600 Display, 1024x768 recommended 16 MB RAM 10 MB Hard Drive Space ActiveX components 1 Pinnacle Technologies, Inc. ID/TRH Temperature and Humidity Datalogger Installation Instructions: This document gives step-by-step instructions for first time setup of the IDTRH Manager program. For operation, please see the README.txt file. Method 1 - Setup through the IDTRH Manager GUI 1) After installing, open IDTRH Manager.exe. The program will open, and a single entry will appear, Pinnacle's public IDTRH. 2) Click the Setup Button 3) Enter the necessary values for local port numbers and UDP timeout. The default values should be fine for most situations. 4) If you use CADgraphics, set the channel (default is 1) and the location of CADgraphics. If you want a delay longer than 1 minute, set that up as well. 5) Click OK to save settings and return to the main window 6) Start entering dataloggers - Click the Add Device button. 7) In the form that appears, fill in the name of the device. It can be anything you want. 8) Select how you want to identify the device, either by IP address or by URL. If you have questions regarding which is which, please contact your systems administrator. 9) Enter either the URL or the IP address of the datalogger. This information can be obtained from your systems administrator. 10) Press the "Add Device" button, and the new datalogger will be added to the list. 11) Select the Pinnacle datalogger and delete it. 12) Repeat steps 6-10 for each datalogger on your network. Method 2 - Editing the .cfg file by hand If you wish, you can set up the IDTRH Manager by hand. This will also be necessary to do if the .cfg file becomes corrupted/deleted due to improper shutdown. The format for the idtrh.cfg file is as follows. Values for alarm settings are CASE SENSITIVE: 10000 - local port number 2000 - UDP timeout in milliseconds. F - Temperature Units c:\program files\CADgraphics - path to CADgraphics. 1 - Channel for CADgraphics 1 - Delay in minutes before sending alarm - blank line Pinnacle - name of first datalogger 24.124.24.93 - IP address or URL, here Pinnacle NA - Over Temp alarm, NA means no alarm 71 - Under Temp Alarm, here 71 degress NA - Over RH Alarm 63 - Under RH alarm ON - Contact setup, ON means On = Alarm - Blank Line IDTRH - name of second datalogger 10.10.10.10 - IP of second datalogger .... - and so on and so on. If there is only one datalogger in the list, there should still be one blank line after it. NOTES You must always have at least one datalogger in the list. Make a backup of your config file! If it gets corrupted, the program will not fuction! We can always send you a new one, but it will be necessary to re-configure it to match your network.
