Pinnacle Technology, Inc. is developing a histamine biosensor that is capable of providing real-time changes in histamine concentration in the brains of rodents. We anticipate that this biosensor will be available for purchase after April 1, 2012.
Biosensors are purchased by cannula type and analyte of interest. Carbon fiber electrodes are purchased by cannula type and technique (i.e., FPA or FSCV). Pinnacle recommends the use of a guide cannula system for optimal results when implanting and recording from sensors in the brains of freely-moving animals. We manufacture standard biosensor electrodes (Pt-Ir wire with an integrated reference) that are compatible with three guide cannula types: BASi cannula (rats), SciPro cannula slim profile (rats), and small BASi cannula (mice). Sensors with no cannula headpiece are also available for purchase. All sensors sold by Pinnacle are for animal use only.
