CARBON FIBER SENSORS

Pinnacle offers Carbon Fiber Sensors (CFS) that have been optimized for FSCV applications for use in both rats and mice. Our CFS is a 34 µM diameter carbon fiber housed in a silica sheath that extends 0.5 mm beyond the end of the silica.

CARBON FIBER SENSORS (CFSs) are used in conjunction with Pinnacle’s tethered and wireless recording systems. CARBON FIBER SENSORS are used to measure the presence of biogenic amines (e.g. dopamine) in the brain using fixed potential amperometry or fast scan cyclic voltammetry. Pinnacle CARBON FIBER SENSORS are about 30 microns in diameter and 0.5 mm in length.

Carbon Fiber Sensors are ordered by cannula type and whether the fiber is fixed in place or fixed :
• CFS
• CFS-F
